Foxy Facts #2

Fox; Atatürk's dog.

The great Turkish republic setter and leader Atatürk's dog was called "Fox".
Fox was a lucky street dog re-owned by Mustafa Kemal, which stayed right by his side till its last days.

This is one of my favourite pictures of Atatürk and Fox. He is right by his chair lying down.
The original photo is framed and on the wall of the Culture Center I work in.

I see stars...

I love head pieces and accessories.
Hardly anybody uses them in the casual life. It reminds me of the stories that my grandma used to tell me... She graduated from an academy for girl's where she learned how to sew. She knows all about the different fabrics, the exquisite cuts and the tips that makes an outfit look elegant. She would dress up in sequin dresses with an open back paired with sky high stilettos and went to Republic Day Balls with my grandpa, dancing all night long...

I believe the headpieces are making a comeback. This year Rodarte used these star hair accessories in their 2012 fall collection and as I was going through my fave. blogs their authors fell in love with the pieces too. After collecting some info about the very DIY-able hair pieces, I decided to make my own...

I went to a hardware store and bought some wire, some stars in different sizes, some gold spray paint and to make them come together I used hot glue.

The result is very pleasing .

I haven't wore it yet but I'm sure I will rock it soon somewhere...
I'll let you know ;)
